Alexander Gretchaninov is a Russian composer who composed 15 pieces for his “Children’s Album, op. 98” in which is included the “Rocking Horse Ride”. This is a lovely piece, where chords are alternated between the right and the left hands, always in staccato, which emulates a galloping horse. It also has three scalar passages in staccato.
