Alexandre Tansman skillfully captures the rolling sensation of waves and boat rides. An accompaniment pattern with dotted notes adds to the flowing motion. In order to play the left hand legato as indicated, students will need to use good, consistent fingering. The melody has many opportunities for displaying proficient voicing. Students may find the occasional grace notes as well as the muted dynamic levels difficult to successfully execute.
