This piece has qualities similar to that of a slow, lumbering dancing bear. The left hand creates a stable base that continuously repeats. The accompaniment consists of sixteenth notes and dotted eighth notes, giving the piece a rolling feeling. It is necessary to accurately play this rhythmic pattern as well as some tricky rhythms in the melody. Fingering crossings and frequent changes in hand position make good fingering imperative.
