Bela Bartok, Pentatonic Melody (MK2)

Bela bartok

Béla Bartók

This vibrant piece is built on five-finger hand positions, which move often. Although the patterns are repetitive, students may have difficulty with the coordination of playing the hands together. Practicing each little section independently may increase one’s level of comfort. Students should be sure to observe rests carefully since they give the piece its lilting quality.
