The challenge of this piece lies in having good voicing. Each measure both hands alternate having the melody, which should be brought out. The right hand has the harder part. Its thirds all need to be well-voiced as well as completely legato. A sense of direction should be maintained in each line, despite the constant pauses on whole notes. The numerous ties could also be challenging for students. They should be sure to hold the longer notes for their entire value.
