Not only does this piece focus on the study of triplets, but it also helps students learn how to smoothly and evenly alternate between triplets and eighth notes. Both hands have a turn with the melody. A difficulty is sustaining long notes underneath moving notes. This coordination, along with the mastering of round-like sections, is good for students to develop. Pianists should also be aware of dynamic changes and new time signatures.
