Full of excitement and energy, the final piece in the third volume of Mikrokosmos rarely stops moving. Except for when it comes to a rapid halt, only to start back up again. There are two independent lines, sometimes in parallel or contrary motion, but they are mostly quite distinct. Students should try to create long phrases, despite the frequent pauses on tied notes. Many of the eighth note figurations require a solid technique and clarity of tone.
