Playful and vibrant, this piece certainly lives up to its title. Persistent sixteenth notes, coupled with staccato eighth notes, add to the gleeful character. The fast tempo may be challenging for beginning pianists. Students may find the frequent leaps in hand positions to be challenging. This scherzo is a good choice for working on producing a strong, yet perky tone.
