This calm minuet is good for developing useful technical skills. Both hands constantly trade off playing the moving notes, creating a sound like that of a canon or round. The challenges faced in this piece are similar to the coordination and listening skills needed in more advanced repertoire such as fugues. Practicing the hands alone will help achieve this skill. Good dynamics and balance between the hands are necessary in this second movement.
