"Cossack Dance"(also known as a Hopak) is a fast-paced, exciting composition which will challenge students at this level. The LH jumps around frequently, sometimes employing a quasi-compound melody. The RH has parallel blocked thirds in various positions which change quickly.  The middle section features deceptively difficult arpeggio passages and some speedy sixteenth note passagework.

This is an ideal competition piece for a relatively advanced young pianist.
