“Forgotten Postcards” needs to be played thoughtfully, with attention to details. Dynamics, pedal, and rubato are all meaningful in this work. The right hand has continual eighth notes, which are often the melody. These should be played smoothly and with gentle inflections. The left hand too has a chance to shine. It crosses over the right hand and takes a turn with the melody. The hands should be practiced alone so that the articulation and shaping can be exact.
