"Wild Gallop" is an exciting composition in a modified middle C position; the RH is consistently in C-minor 5 finger position, while the LH 4th finger alternates between G and A-flat. One suggestion, if the hand size allows for it, would be to have the 3rd finger cover the A-flat. This would allow for a consistent position.
The difficulty of this piece lies in the speed as well as the passing off between the hands. This needs to be done smoothly, both from a tempo and dynamic standpoint.
Students will absoluely love performing this piece!
