Konrad Kunz, Op. 14, No. 25

This little canon has a chipper feel because of its rhythmic patterns, key signature, and keyboard range. Perky staccato eighth notes abound; these should be crisp and even. Written in D major, the piece is entirely in treble clef. This is a good chance for the left hand to practice being in an unfamiliar range. Also, since legato and staccato markings often occur simultaneously, this helps students improve their coordination and focus.
