The Ballade is one of the 25 easy and progressive etudes opus 100 by the German pianist and composer Friedrich Burgmuller. This etude begins with repeated staccato chords in the right hand, with sixteenths played in a five-fingers position by the left hand. In the part B, it presents a melody in the right hand, which is marked by long steps intervals, and linked notes accompanied by repeated chords in the left hand. It is important to use a supple wrist to play the repeated chords, both in the right and in the left hand in order to keep the lightness of the accompaniment.Edit
