A bourrée was originally a fast-pace French dance. Fittingly, this piece also has a quick tempo. Students may find the passages with triplets to be challenging because of their speed. Additionally, the rhythms can be hard, especially when tied notes are introduced. Good voicing and clear articulation are two other important elements of this lively piece.
