The Little Prelude in D Minor consists for the most part of arpeggios in eighth notes in the right hand and ornamented quarter notes in the left hand in intervals of the octave.  By the end of the piece the predominant figure of eighth notes is replaced by sixteenth notes, presenting a very fast passage of arpeggios in which the notes are divided between the hands.
