This 24 measure piece is a great introduction to Baroque music. Composed in rounded binary form, it allows for the teaching of the harmonic significance of the B section, which in this case is in the relative Major key. Sequence is a main characteristic of the B section, and as with all Baroque music, ornamentation is vital to a successful performance. Try to seek newness with each repeated section, and always be aware of the two independent voices as they sound simultaneously.
