Konrad Kunz, Op. 14, No. 126

Konrad Kunz

Konrad Kunz

This perky canon is in G major, which is a familiar key for many young pianists. Kunz uses a variety of rhythmic values, such as quarter, eighth, and sixteenth notes and dotted rhythms. However, since many of the patterns repeat throughout the piece, students should have little difficulty with counting. Articulation is quite important, and the markings are detailed. Slurs and frequent staccatos are used. Students will have fun with this brief piece.
