Dissonances are plentiful in this canon. Kunz writes with seven flats in the key signature and also includes many natural signs throughout the piece. Beginning pianists may have difficulty navigating so many accidentals. Once this challenge is overcome, however, students will find some of the other aspects, such as rhythms, to be manageable. The articulation, though, is also quite difficult. Students will have to practice the hands alone to improve their coordination of simultaneously playing contrasting articulations.
