Choosing a brisk tempo is one of the most significant aspects of this piece. Since the fastest rhythmic value used is quarter notes, picking a slow tempo becomes easy. Kunz, however, marks otherwise. Articulation also is important. Staccatos are used in abundance. They need to be crisp and even.
