Konrad Kunz, Op. 14, No. 167

Konrad Kunz

Konrad Kunz

This short canon has a distinctive sound due to the frequent use of accidentals. Though the key is B-flat major, Kunz uses numerous sharps. Students should make sure that the hand positions are stable throughout the piece. Articulation is also quite important; both hands alternate between legato and staccato markings. This creates fun contrasts when both hands are playing together.
