This fast-paced canon requires agile fingers as well as competence in playing in keys with numerous sharps. Eighth and sixteenth notes abound, giving the piece its vibrant character. Pianists should strive for clarity in both hands. This can be especially hard for the left hand since the fourth and fifth fingers are used extensively.
