Marked con moto, this canon certainly lives up to its tempo indication. Students will have fun playing in the key of E Major, though the numerous sharps can be challenging. In a 3/4 time signature, this piece has accents on the third beating, creating a sense of syncopation. Lots of articulation changes add variety to Kunz’s writing. Students should make sure that the eighth notes in the final measures are especially staccato and clear.
