This canon is in the key of F-sharp minor and thus has a leading tone of which to be aware. There are also a lot of two-note slurs that need attention. Since both hands often have contrasting articulation markings, students may want to practice the hands alone to improve clarity. The fourth and fifth fingers are used extensively, which is a great opportunity for developing pianists.
