Konrad Kunz

Although G-flat major is not a key often used by young pianists, Kunz unabashedly writes this canon with six flats. The tempo marking of Lento, though, makes the numerous flats manageable. Students should shape the phrases in this canon, perhaps using dynamic fluctuations to add direction. A smooth, legato touch is effective throughout.
