Konrad Kunz, Op. 14, No. 66

Konrad Kunz

Konrad Kunz

Reminiscent of a Czerny exercise, this canon helps students work on speed and clarity. Kunz includes passages of legato and staccato sixteenth notes in both hands. It is easy for students to become unmusical with pieces of this technically-focused style. However, they should strive to create long lines and listen to their tone. Adding dynamic markings can be an effective way to increase musicality.
