Konrad Kunz, Op. 14, No. 73

Konrad Kunz

Konrad Kunz

Kunz writes this canon in B-flat minor. Students may not be familiar with this key and will be challenged by having five flats. However, since the hand positions rarely change and there are minimal accidentals, students will be able to master this aspect. Frequent tenuto markings add a lot of character to this piece and should be well emphasized. Also, the staccato notes need to have a strong attack in order to create the desired sound.
