Articulation and rhythms are the most notable aspects of this short canon. Pianists should carefully differentiate between the tenuto and accent markings. Also, they should bring out the syncopation, created by ties over the bar lines. Intense contrasts between staccato and legato passages are also important. Students will enjoy playing in the comfortable D major pentatonic hand position.
