Students will enjoy practicing this sneaky piece in G-sharp minor. The sixteenth notes need to be steady; the trill-like passages are a good introduction for playing fast, with clarity. The accent markings are important for keeping a distinguishable pulse, which can be especially challenging due to the canon format. Students should be aware of the frequent changes in articulation.
