Students who have strong counting skills will do well with this piece. An abundance of rests makes a steady pulse and correct rhythms imperative. The only articulation used is legato, which should be as smooth as possible to contrast with the moments of silence. The other important aspect is the accent markings, which always fall on the second beat. This is a perky little canon.
