Purposeful articulation gives this minuet its charm. The distinction between legato and staccato articulation needs to be strong. The second half offers a bold contrast to previous material. Octaves in the left hand and a change in register for the right hand heighten the intensity. Sudden dynamic changes also affect the drama. Though the notes are quite simple throughout, there are plenty of musical aspects to keep students engaged.
