Beethoven

In 6/8 time, this second movement of the Sonatina in G has a bouncy waltz pattern in the left hand. A flowing melodic line complements the perky character of the accompaniment. Students may find some of the repeated notes and scalar passages midway through to be difficult. Practicing the hands alone is helpful since they are both constantly busy. Dynamics between sections and during phrases are important. The ornaments should be played as smoothly and gracefully as possible.
