With a singing melody and engaging harmonies, “The Sleepy Groundhog” is sure to endear itself to students and teachers alike. Neither hand moves its position too often. The accompaniment has a slow rate of change and offers a nice foundation for the melodic line. Students should make sure the right hand is smooth and has long phrases.
