The mood of this Andante is completely opposite to the first movement. This movement is in need of long legato lyrical melodic lines. Bringing out the top voices of the thirds and fifths is necessary. This movement requires a good control of tempo and dynamics. Subtle use of rubato will be in line with the performance practice of the time.
