This piece has a nice combination of playing just one hand at a time and also occasionally adding another voice. Keeping the harmonies simple is good for beginning students. However, the occasional accidentals can be challenging if students have not had a lot of experience with them yet. A few measures with staccato makings offer a good contrast to the other basic articulation, legato. One should be sure to observe the occasional rests as well as hold the long notes for their full value.
