Quarrel captures the dramatic qualities of an argument by using persistent rhythms and dramatic pauses. It is written in a conversational style between two hands, and some students may have difficulty remaining steady when the hands frequently trade off the melody. Dynamics also contribute to the theatrical aspects. Students should also be aware of the articulation as well as unusual accidentals.
