Robert Schumann, Reaper's Song-001:12

Robert Schumann, Reaper's Song-0

Robert Schumann

This is a great piece for working on voicing. The melody is primarily contained in the right hand, which has moderately thick textures. Grace notes decorate the melodic line, adding a joyous element to the piece. Students should aim for keeping the melody as legato as possible, using good fingering to achieve the proper articulation. Clarity and steadiness are two other important elements for playing this piece.
