Robert Vandall, Bagatelle No01:15

Robert Vandall, Bagatelle No. 7

Robert Vandall

Beginning with Czerny-like scale passages, this bagatelle quickly gives way to exciting rhythms certainly not reminiscent of the Classical period. Off-beat accents give the piece a fun flair, though the syncopated rhythms can pose a challenge for some students. Keeping a steady tempo and crisp articulation, especially in the accompaniment, are important aspects for giving a convincing performance. The dynamic contrasts should also be carefully observed.
