Robert Vandall

A rolling eighth note pattern in the right hand sets the mood for this wistful prelude. Difficulties include keeping the right hand at a soft dynamic level and voicing the left hand chords, which contain the melody. The left hand frequently switches between clefs, which can also be challenging. The brief passage of numerous sharps while within the key of F minor should be played carefully. A couple of broken chord sections in the right hand may need to be practiced especially. This is a lovely piece with many opportunities to be musical.
