Seymour Bernstein image for piano pedagogy

In this piece, the listener can hear the chipmunk’s curiosity for a different type of birdfeeder. Teachers can ask students if they have ever been curious, thus creating a personal interest in the piece. Whether to observe the hemiola rhythmic pattern throughout will be a personal decision due to the written accents on beat one. Be aware of bringing out the variations when the melody repeats so as to avoid repetitiveness.
