In this piece, rapidly changing dynamics exemplify Belinda’s uneasiness as she decides whether or not to enter a tempting jar of birdseed. It is important to closely follow this dynamic markings since they often change every note. Extreme use of rubato also shows Belinda’s hesitation. Lots of bouncy staccatos and numerous changes in hand position may present difficulties for student.
