Seymour Bernstein image for piano pedagogy

This ethereal piece has longer melody lines than other movements in this work. Heavenly sounding chords in a high register give students a chance to express themselves. Paying special attention to the effect of the borrowed g minor chords will change the mood of this piece in D Major.  Students need to be familiar with the markings u.c. and t.c. This piece is accessible for many students because there are no large chords and few hand position changes. The pieces dies away in a contemplative manner.
