Timothy Brown, The Jasmine Flower01:25

Timothy Brown, The Jasmine Flower

Timothy Brown

"This piece uses the famous theme found in Giacomo Puccini's opera "Turandot".  The pentatonic melody is referred to as "The Princess Theme", and is played throughout the opera to introduce the majestic entrance of the princess Turandot." (Timothy Brown, reproduced here with permission of the author.)

The young pianist will need to demonstrate smooth legato playing in the right hand, along with great attention to balance and clear pedaling.
